Director of Economic DevelopmentTracy Finch Dodson has spent over 17 years in Charlotte and has more than 12 years experience in diverse aspects of real estate development. Her primary focus has been promoting mass transit and executing urban development that supports Charlotte's transit corridors. Tracy comes to CCCP from Harris Development Group LLC, where she spent time as a development manager focused on transit oriented development (TOD). Prior to Harris, she took a proactive approach to promoting TOD as the Transit Station Area Development Coordinator for the City of Charlotte’s Economic Development Office. She has also worked in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Department and as an architect for Shook Kelley focusing on mixed use and urban development. Tracy’s experience has given her extensive knowledge in coordinating public/private projects, facilitating infrastructure improvements to enhance economic development, and working to balance the needs of multiple (and many times contrasting) entities to achieve the best economic results for Charlotte. With her vast network and team approach she has been able to improve development opportunities in transit corridors.

Her academic experience allows her to approach real estate development with an understanding of quality design, financial feasibility, and regionalism.
Tracy lives in Charlotte with her husband in Myers Park and serves on the boards of Charlotte Trolley Inc., the Executive Committee of the Charlotte Chapter of Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Commission.
