Ted Boyd
Director of Historic South EndAs Director of Historic South End, Ted brings his years of experience working at CCCP and with the City staff to South End as the first point of contact for stakeholders in the South End neighborhood. Under the supervision of Darlene Heater, VP of Neighborhood Development, Ted is responsible for working closely with entire CCCP staff to deliver the projects and initiatives of planning, business retention, marketing and communications, retail support and development in South End as well as working with the events team to activate the neighborhood. Ted will also help to leverage the collective resources and relationships of CCCP, advocating for the stakeholders of Historic South End. He supports the Historic South End Neighborhood Association to enhance this growing urban neighborhood.
Ted has been a member of the CCCP events team, managed the Center City Green Market and “Twelve”, managed the Tryon Street vending program and pedestrian experience as well as the Center City Hospitality Forum. Ted is a skilled project manager and social media expert, using Facebook and Twitter to market the Green Market and “Twelve” to media and stakeholders. Ted has strong communications and media skills as well. Ted tweets under “GreenMarketGuy” and “SouthEndCLT”
Ted is a graduate of The Citadel, President of the local Citadel Club, Board member of the Common Grounds Farmer’s Market and a member of Charlotte Succession. Ted lives in Charlotte with his wife Julie.
