Come set a spell on Front Porch Sundays

March 31, 2017 10:48 am

Front Porch Sundays, South End’s reoccurring retail block party, returns to South End on Sunday, April 2 from 12-5 p.m. at the Shook Kelley Building.

Visitors can spend the whole afternoon shopping at the 50 independent businesses from Charlotte and the surrounding area, drinking cold beer from Sycamore Brewing, listening to the sweet tunes of Elonzo Wesley, doing some yoga with NC Yoga Bar, and grabbing a bite from one of the three food trucks that will be there (Hiya Food truck, Now Toasted and Juan Taco).

After the vendors close, head over to your favorite South End spot to kick back and relax with friends.

A complete list of this month’s independent business line-up can be found on the event’s Facebook page.

Pop-up retail markets like Front Porch Sundays compliments the 1.44 M sq. ft. of leasable retail space in South End and is why over 12,000 sq. ft. are under construction with another 235,600 sq. ft. in the planning stages. In addition to being a growing retail destination in Charlotte, South End is also very small business friendly. In fact, 82% of all retailers and restaurants there are locally-owned.

Be on the lookout for other pop-up opportunities throughout the spring and summer throughout Center City.

We can’t wait to see you on Sunday!
