Charlotte Goes Green Festival (St. Patrick’s Day)
There will be something for everyone of all ages to enjoy. It’s the place to be after the parade. The Festival is located on S. Tryon St. between 3rd St. & Stonewall St. The festival hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and features Irish music, Irish dancers, bagpipers, Irish/Celtic and other vendors, a children’s amusement area and plenty of food & beverages.
Coca-Cola Speed Street
Coca-Cola Speed Street delivers an unprecedented consumer experience to an estimated 400,000 fans by means of live entertainment, access to racing’s brightest stars, and displays from sponsors Coca-Cola, Miller Lite, Chevrolet and many more. As a precursor to the Coca-Cola 600 held at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Coca-Cola Speed Street will entertain more than 400,000 guests over the course of three days and has been promoted and produced exclusively by JHE Production Group since 1996.
Taste of Charlotte
Hop over to Taste of Charlotte the second weekend of June to sample a variety of foods in a friendly atmosphere. Admission to Taste of Charlotte is free. Guests can purchase coins for their food samples and beverages. Enjoy delicious food while you stroll along Tryon Street visiting local & national sponsors. The festival offers entertainment that is enjoyable for all ages!
Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade
Charlotte Pride presents the annual lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer (LGBTQ) Pride festival and other events in the Queen City. The annual festival is the largest LGBTQ Pride event in the Carolinas and the largest between Atlanta and Washington, D.C.
CLT New Year's Eve
The official New Year’s Eve celebration in Uptown Charlotte has a new name and location! CLT New Year’s Eve will be held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza, at the corner of MLK Blvd. and S. Brevard St. During the day, enjoy WBT Holiday on Ice (opens at 10am) along with family-friendly programs and activities.
Beginning at 7pm, come celebrate the end of 2014 with live music and a variety of activities and performances. CLT New Year’s Eve remains an alcohol-free, family-friendly and free event. Count down to the new year with fireworks and the raising of the Queen City Crown!
Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade
Join us on Thanksgiving Day for this Charlotte tradition that has entertained and inspired audiences since 1947. Complete with dance and choral performances, marching bands from around the region, larger-than-life floats, balloons and some of your favorite characters. This year’s parade will kick off the holiday season, Charlotte-style!
The 7th Annual Hola Charlotte is the largest Hispanic Heritage event organized in Charlotte. Hola Charlotte features renown entertainers and bands, a Latin American Cultural Village, Authentic Latin American food from different countries, a cultural pavilion, Zumba demos, cultural dance performances, Latin American contemporary fashion, and much more!
