European-style cycle racing comes to Uptown Charlotte on Saturday, August 2
Imagine the thrill of techno music and high speed bicycle racing with some of the best men and women cyclists in the world speeding down Tryon Street. This is a closed-course bicycle Criterium race with a top-flight international list of men and women riders. The Presbyterian Hospital Invitational Criterium raises money for brain cancer research and attracts an incredible list of riders with a purse topping $100,000.

The Historic South End First Friday Gallery Crawl, presented by Silo's at South End.South End Gallery Crawls are on the first Friday of every month. This summer we are also pleased to announce that we have hired the a vintage trolley bus that will circle South End on First Friday Gallery Crawls delivering our guests to the front door of all 8 art galleries. The vintage trolley bus will leave every 15 minutes from Jillian's, 200 East Bland Street starting at 5:30pm till 9:30pm.

Monday - Thursdays 6:30pm -10:30pm Now - August 8 Free!
Basketball fans are invited to watch top flight men's basketball, Monday through Thursday, throughout the summer at the Grady Cole Center, 310 N. Kings Drive. Admission is FREE. Sixteen teams comprise this year's summer league that has a special NCAA sanction which allows pros and amateurs to play together. Teams play a thirteen game schedule with four games a night at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30pm. Play is already underway and runs through the end of playoffs August 8.
