Luxury Living in Center CityJanuary 15, 2013 9:53 am
Two new luxury high-rise apartment buildings will soon grace the Charlotte skyline. Childress Klein Properties has just announced that they will start construction next week on a new 22-story, 352-unit luxury apartment tower at the corner of South Mint Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Novare Group, Grubb Properties and Batson-Cook Development Co. has also announced that they have partnered to build SkyHouse Charlotte, a 320-unit luxury apartment building planned for the corner of West 10th and North Church streets in Uptown Charlotte.
“Both the Childress Klein project and SkyHouse represent a renewed vitality for Uptown residents; specifically for both the North Tryon area and what is now a burgeoning ballpark neighborhood,” said Michael Smith, President and CEO of Charlotte Center City Partners. “We have had great experiences working with Clay Grubb and Novare as well as Childress Klein, and each of these projects holds incredible promise. There is nothing more transformative than new residents who will bring energy and character to Center City.”
