Cookie Crumble this Saturday at the Green Market

The Center City Green Market is proud to present our annual Cookie Crumble Contest to find the very best cookie in the Center City! Uptown and South End restaurants will once again go head to head in front of a panel of celebrity judges to decide who has the best cookie in town.

Our celebrity judges are: Captain Rob Brisley, Charlotte Fire Department Rob Cummings, CCCP Board member and resident of Fourth Ward Kim Hughes, 704events.com Todd Trimakas, Publisher - Uptown Magazine Kate Cartini, WSOC-TV Glenn Burkins, Qcitymetro.com Michael Smith, (and one of his kids as taster!), President and CEO-Charlotte Center City Partners Jon Wilson, Fox News Rising "Wilson's World" and “Scooter Cult Master”

Cookie Competitors so far…more are still signing up so we could end up with close to 15 participants. Also, each restaurant/store can bring more than one cookie!

Reid's Fine Foods Savannah Red Mez Jimmy John's Starbucks Todd Swanson, aka Donut Man Therapy Double Tree Little Village Grill Scooter Cult: We will also have a visit from Jon Wilson’s Scooter Cult. Walking Tours: Rob Cummings, longtime 4th Ward resident, is conducting a walking tour starting at 11:00am. 11:00am - The tour will walk north on Tryon Street and dip into historic Fourth Ward, then return to the Green Market at the Square. 11:30am - return to Square - Second leg of tour begins south on Tryon Street to the First Street Cultural Campus, through the Green and back up to the Square. 12:00pm - Return to Square. The entire tour should take about an hour.

The Market is now located at the Square and operated Tuesday through Friday (10am to 3pm) and Saturday (8am to 1pm). Shop during lunchtime, grab those fresh fruits, vegetables…even homemade breads and desserts during the workweek and enjoy the expanded Green Market on Saturdays.
