Wachovia Launches United Way Campaign with Special Celebration
Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company, launches the Wells Fargo Community Support and United Way campaign, which runs through the end of September, with a special event. This is the first major community activity that unites our new company with a specific goal of improving our communities and helping make them better places to live and work. Our theme for this year’s campaign, “One team, many hearts,” sums up both Wachovia and Wells Fargo’s spirit of giving.
WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
WHAT: A special event beginning on Wachovia’s Plaza featuring remarks by Wachovia senior leaders and Jane McIntyre, newly named executive director of the United Ways of Central Carolinas Inc., a showcase of local nonprofits and the Wells Fargo stagecoach and horses. Around 10:30 a.m., Wachovia leaders will ride the stagecoach to the Performance Learning Center for a special announcement.
