9/11 Memorial in Frazier Park

Our Children's Memorial Walkway invites firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel and the public to the 5th annual "Charlotte Remembers," a memorial service for those who died in the 9/11 terror attacks on America. The service is at 8:30am September 11, 2009 in Frazier Park, 1201 West Fourth Street. This service will remember victims at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in the three airplanes brought down that day. Anyone who lost a loved one on 9/11 is invited to say a few words of remembrance. . A long scroll with names and pictures of the thousands who died on 9-11 will also be displayed. The scroll was made by Mothers of Murdered Offspring. The Charlotte Fire Department will provide a bagpipe player, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police will provide a bugler for taps. From Cedar Street, take First Street or Greenleaf Avenue at the Panthers’ practice field. Go three blocks west to Frazier Park. Cross the metal bridge to the brick walkway.
