North Commuter Rail Project is now the Red Line

The Metropolitan Transit Commission (MTC) voted unanimously to adopt Red as the official color of the future North Corridor Commuter Rail Line. The proposed 25-mile rapid transit line would connect Charlotte with four of the region’s fast growing towns-Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville.

The combination of reliable commuter rail service along a heavily congested and growing transportation corridor and new large-scale Transit-Oriented Development planned at the commuter rail stations will generate significant air quality benefits, lower carbon emissions and a smaller carbon footprint.
