Geosyntec Consultants Announces New Charlotte Office
Geosyntec Consultants announced today the opening of its new Charlotte, N.C., office to better serve its clients based in the Charlotte metropolitan area, including those that have come to rely upon its expertise in environmental studies and cleanup; infrastructure assessment, engineering, and design; and natural resources assessment and restoration.
Leading Geosyntec’s Charlotte office are principals, Dr. Jay Beech, P.E. and Mr. Terry Cheek, C.F.P., and senior consultant, Mr. Ron Santini. Jay Beech, Ph.D., P.E., is a principal engineer with 30 years of experience in design and construction of environmental management infrastructure including: waste containment/disposal, stormwater management, and subsurface barrier systems; demolition and remediation of former industrial sites; and technical consultation on litigation involving geotechnical and civil engineering issues.
Terry Cheek, C.F.P., is a principal scientist with Geosyntec focusing on natural resources issues that affect industry and government entities primarily centered on Clean Water Act (CWA) permitting and compliance. Mr. Cheek is a certified fisheries professional with more than 25 years experience as a senior water and natural resources scientist. He applies his extensive knowledge of water resource and ecological issues throughout the eastern United States for clients in the power generation, water supply, and land development sectors.
Ron Santini is a senior consultant with Geosyntec and has over 30 years of experience encompassing environmental management, environmental oversight of complex real estate projects, site assessments, and geographic information systems analysis. Mr. Santini has more than 18 years of experience focused exclusively on the environmental issues of diversified electric power providers.
