New Gallery in South End: Coffey & Thompson + Gil Gallery
Edwin Gil today announced the grand opening of his new art gallery – Gil Gallery – on Thursday, March 11 from 6 to 9pm at 109 W. Morehead Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gil will be showing work from several of his critically acclaimed series that include: Amigos, Tendencies, Scars, 100% and most recently, Positive Art.
“Since my arrival to the U.S. in 2000, I have worked diligently to affect positive change in our community through art,” said Gil. “Through this dedication, as well as the help of friends and supporters, I feel that our community is more socially responsible when it comes to using art as a way to express ideas and emotions. Opening my own gallery is part of this expression and I am excited to share this with the community.”
The gallery opening also marks the grand opening of the new location of Coffey & Thompson Art Gallery, which Gil has worked with for nearly 10 years. For more information, please visit www.EdwinGil.com.
