Stock Charlotte Rescue Mission’s Kitchen

Charlotte Rescue Mission is holding a "Pantry Pounding" to stock its kitchen shelves and help feed Charlotte’s hungry all through the summer. The Mission is asking for large, warehouse club sizes of kitchen staples such as flour, green beans, spaghetti, macaroni, vegetable oil, canned corn, rice and sugar.

The homeless are vulnerable and hungry all throughout the year, not just in the winter. Each day, the Mission’s kitchen prepares over 400 meals. "Life-altering change in the life of someone struggling with addiction can begin with just one meal." says Rev. Tony Marciano, Executive Director of the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

What: The Mission’s kitchen is in need of staple items When: July 21-August 14, 2010 Who: Clients of the Mission’s Rebound and Dove’s Nest Programs Where: Drop off items at the Charlotte Rescue Mission located at 907 West 1st Street (diagonally opposite the Charlotte Panthers practice fields).
