Wine/Cheese Tasting & Silent Auction to Benefit Cancer Survivors

Presbyterian Cancer Rehabilitation & Wellness and Blue Restaurant are teaming up to host an enjoyable evening that supports resources for cancer survivors in our community. The wine/cheese tasting and silent auction will take place at Blue Restaurant on Wednesday, November 3 from 6– 9p.m. Admission is a $25 donation, with all proceeds going to support the programs at Presbyterian Cancer Rehabilitation and Wellness, which include yoga, massage, exercise and nutrition services.

Jack Santaniello, part owner of Blue and cancer survivor, is the brains behind the fundraiser, as he knows firsthand how beneficial the services at Presbyterian Cancer Rehabilitation and Wellness are to individuals undergoing treatments for cancer.

"When I was undergoing treatment, the exercise and nutrition services were so helpful to me," Santaniello said. "I want to do anything I can to give back to the program, and raising money to ensure everyone has access to these services is the least I can do to pay them back for everything they did for me."

Tara Ballard, manager, Presbyterian Cancer Rehabilitation and Wellness, is appreciative of all of Santaniello's support. "Our programs treat the entire person, both physically and emotionally. We help individuals achieve their goals around relaxation and exercise, all while helping them fight fatigue, the most common side effect of cancer treatment. Without fundraising and philanthropic individuals like Jack, we wouldn't be able to provide the extensive services that we currently offer to support individuals through their cancer journey."

Santaniello says it best: "This is a great evening for a great cause. So gather your friends and family, enjoy some wine and cheese, bid on some silent auction items, and feel good about yourself when you go home, because you made a difference in the life of a cancer survivor."
