NASCAR Hall of Fame Offers Weeklong Discount

In honor of Veterans Day, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is offering a weeklong military discount. Retired and active military members can enjoy a special discount of 50% off admission to the facility for a Veterans Week Celebration Monday, Nov. 8 – Sunday, Nov. 14, a savings of nearly $9 per person. As an added bonus, active-duty service members will receive a free international 60-minute calling card from Cell Phones for Soldiers.

"It is our pleasure to honor and pay tribute to those veterans who have served and are presently serving in our military services," said Winston Kelley, executive director of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. "And partnering with an extraordinary organization, Cell Phones for Soldiers, is just as much of an honor. Something as seemingly simple as a calling card gives our active military members an essential need to revitalize their spirits. It can be that call to a spouse and children, parents, friend or whomever that provides a soldier the remembrance of home and the reason to continue their mission."

Founded in 2004 by two teenagers, Brittany and Robbie Bergquist, Cell Phones for Soldiers is dedicated to providing free communication tools to the many men and women serving overseas in the U.S. military. Through cash donations and the recycling of used mobile phones, the program is able to provide pre-paid calling cards to the troops. Taking a grass roots approach since its inception, Cell Phones for Soldiers has raised more than $7 million, collected more than 7.5 million cell phones and provided troops with more than 90 million minutes of free talk time.

"We are thrilled to partner with the NASCAR Hall of Fame in honoring our troops this Veterans Day," said Brittany Bergquist, co-founder of Cell Phones for Soldiers. "We would like to encourage our military communities to visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame next week, enjoy some American history and find out more about how our charity supports troops."

Military members should bring a military ID to receive their discount. The discounted ticket can be purchased at the NASCAR Hall of Fame box office only. In addition to this special one-week offer, the NASCAR Hall of Fame also offers a year round $2 discount for military personnel.

General admission tickets for the NASCAR Hall of Fame can be purchased by calling 877-231-2010 or at www.NASCARHall.com. General admission is $19.95 for adults, $17.95 for seniors and military, $12.95 for children 5-12 and free for children younger than 5. For more details, visit www.NASCARHall.com.
