Queen City Ringers Gives Concert to Benefit CCSG

Charlotte Community School for Girls is pleased to announce that the Queen City Ringers, Charlotte’s own highly acclaimed handbell choir will present a benefit concert on Friday, November 12, 2010 to benefit the school. The concert will be held at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, 1117 South Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203. The concert begins at 7pm. Parking is located behind the church next to the Y. Admission is free; donations are welcome!

In addition to the beautiful music by the Queen City Ringers, the scholars at Charlotte Community School for Girls will participate in the concert with some music of their own!

Charlotte Community School for Girls is a nonprofit, tuition-free school for middle school girls from low-income families. Located at 1440 South Tryon Street, Suite 109, Charlotte, NC 28203, CCSG offers a challenging academic curriculum. While learning the fundamentals in English, math, history, and science, CCSG scholars engage in class discussions, experiments, research projects, presentations, and performances.

Each child has her own laptop and develops confidence and competence in the use of technology. Enrichment classes in art, music, drama, technology, world topics, physical education, and community service complete each girl’s learning experience.
