Charlotte Rescue Mission to Serve 1 Ton of Food on Easter
Charlotte Rescue Mission’s Easter Community Extravaganza will serve 2,510 pounds of food, 1000 biscuits or dinner rolls and 102 gallons of orange juice or iced tea.
“We will always have enough food for our guests who will join us for the day” says Rev. Tony Marciano, Executive Director of the Charlotte Rescue Mission. “Everyone always goes away being full”.
Breakfast will consist of 90 pounds of eggs, 60 pounds of sausage, 400 pieces of biscuits, 40 pounds of grits, 20 pounds of gravy, and 32 gallons of orange juice.
Dinner will consist of 120 turkeys (2,000 pounds), 80 pounds of mashed potatoes, 60 pounds of green beans, 60 pounds of stuffing, 20 pounds of gravy, 60 pounds of yams, 20 pounds of cranberry sauce, 600 pieces of dinner rolls and 70 gallons of iced tea.
The Mission is also opening its doors to the entire community. Breakfast is served at 6am – 7:30am, mid day meal from 11:30am – 2:30pm with movies from 6am – 3pm and cell phone use from 9am – 3pm.
The Mission is located diagonally opposite the Charlotte Panther Practice Fields
