Airport Sprinter

Need to get to the airport? Get there quickly on the Sprinter! The Sprinter bus goes directly between Center City and Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

It’s fast.

You can be at the front door of the airport in less than 30 minutes. Hop off and go straight to your flight; no need to worry about parking!

It’s convenient.

The Sprinter comes every 20 minutes on weekdays, and every 30 minutes on nights and weekends. You can catch it at the Charlotte Transportation Center, at Trade & Tryon, or at one of the stops on Trade Street between Uptown and Gateway (Cedar Street.) To view the route and schedule, click here and choose ‘Route 5-Airport’.

It’s easy to identify the Sprinter bus — the vehicles are a vibrant green. The Sprinter fleet is entirely hybrid electric, and the buses have wider aisles and luggage racks so that it’s easier to stash your luggage or ride with your suitcase right next to you.

It’s inexpensive.

Sprinter fare is $2, the same as all local CATS fares. You can pay with cash (exact change) or use any valid CATS transit pass.
