Do you love the Queen City and want to help shape it for the next generation? We encourage you to attend an exciting community gathering to kick-off the 2040 Center City Vision Planning effort. At this event, citizens from all over the county will be asked to contribute their ‘big ideas’, identify opportunities and define issues regarding the growth and development of Charlotte’s Center City. The event will be organized in an open house format with many interactive stations, music, food and fun! This event is totally FREE but food/drink is first come, first served. Reserve your FREE ticket today through the ticket link. We’re ALL IN. #ALLINCLT2040

What is the Center City Vision Plan?

Beginning with the Odell Plan in the 1960s, Charlotte has a 50-year tradition of a creating a new Center City and downtown plan every 10 years to provide a blueprint for long term growth and development. The last vision plan was adopted in 2011 and so it is now time to chart a new course for the future. Over the past decade, our Center City has evolved a great deal, with changes that have been incredible and positive as well as challenging and revealing. Also, many new citizens now call Charlotte home. We will want to consider these changes, and our shared values, and infuse new ideas into the Center City 2040 Vision Plan.
