A discussion on the future of Medicaid in North Carolina featuring representatives of health care, state government, insurance and academia is scheduled for Booth Playhouse in center city Charlotte on Thursday, February 8.
Sponsored by The Charlotte Post Foundation as part of its series of forums for Black Lives Matter Charlotte, the panel discussion is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Booth Playhouse is in the NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, 130 North Tryon Street.
Panelists are: Phyllis Wingate, president of Carolina Healthcare System Northern Group; Dave Richard, deputy secretary for medical assistance, NC Department of Health and Human Services; Carla Cunningham, state representative from Mecklenburg; A. Jamal Jones, Business Development director for Aetna Medicaid, based in Raleigh-Durham; and Keith Carnes, program manager, Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
