The Mint apartments break ground in Ballpark NeighborhoodMarch 20, 2014 9:49 am
Construction has begun on the Mint, a new apartment complex that will be located across West Fourth Street from the new BB&T Ballpark, on the same block where a branch of the U.S. Mint was until 1933.
The 177-unit luxury apartment complex being built by Balfour Beatty Construction for Spectrum Properties, will add to a growing Ballpark Neighborhood. Childress-Klein in January topped out its 22-story Element Uptown property beside Romare Bearden Park.
“This location is second to none,” said Michael Smith, President & CEO of Charlotte Center City Partners. “Once again, Spectrum Properties is creating a project that advances our Center City in bold and thoughtful ways…offering retail opportunities and a quality design.
