Details
City Council recently approved a rezoning petition by Atrium Health to allow the development of an apartment project at the corner of East Morehead Street and Myrtle Avenue. As part of a land swap, Atrium will transfer the property to Inlivian, which will oversee the construction of up to 390 residential units. Plans call for 20% of these apartments to be reserved for those making between 30% and 80% of the area median income (AMI), with at least 25% of income-restricted units (5% of total units) being "deeply affordable" units reserved for those making 30% of the AMI. The ground floor of the development will include up to 10,000 square feet of commercial space, which could include office, retail, restaurant, personal service, or entertainment uses.
