Details
City Council recently approved a rezoning petition by Atrium Health to allow the development of an apartment project at the corner of East Morehead Street and Myrtle Avenue. As part of a land swap, Atrium will transfer the property to Inlivian, which will oversee the construction of up to 390 residential units. Plans call for 20 percent of these apartments to be reserved for those making between 30% and 80% of the area median income (AMI), with at least one-fourth of these income-restricted units being "deeply affordable" units reserved for those making 30% of the AMI. The ground floor of the development will include up to 10,000 square feet of commercial space, which could include office, retail, restaurant, personal service, or entertainment uses.
