Inlivian, formerly the Charlotte Housing Authority, selected Boston-based Fallon Company as the master developer for Centre South, a transit-oriented, mixed-use development on the former Strawn Cottages site. The first phase, a midrise multifamily called Twelve03, broke ground in mid-2026 and will contain 329 apartments, 66 of which will be workforce housing reserved for residents making 65 to 80% of the area median income. Units will begin delivering in late 2028 with full delivery of the project expected in early 2029. Once complete, Centre South will comprise up to 975 residential units, 405,000 square feet of Class A office space, 36,000 square feet of amenity retail, a 180-room hotel, and 1.5 acres of greenspace.
