Chicago-based Riverside has begun construction on phase one of a large mixed-use project linking South End and Uptown. Known as Queensbridge Collective, the development will feature an office tower and residential tower, 40,000 square feet of retail, and 1 acre of green outdoor space. Once complete, this project will be the tallest building outside of the Uptown central business district. A second phase was recently announced with a new tower split between office and residential, adding 346 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail and bringing the total office space to 356,000 square feet.
