Lynn Henderson

Director of Programs and Event Operations

Lynn serves as Director of Programs and Event Operations for Charlotte Center City Partners. She joined the organization in 2010.  Her responsibilities involve oversight of street vendors, banners and promotional signage in the Center City, as well as management of other seasonal programs.  She works with area groups to program entertainment and events in public spaces to animate the uptown area, plus handles logistics and planning for events produced annually by the CCCP events team.

Lynn is a native of Asheville, who has been in many roles in event production.  Prior to joining Center City Partners, she owned Eventcraft, Inc., and served clients in NC and SC in event design, management and production.  She previously was Senior Project Manager at Tribble Creative Group in Charlotte.  Lynn’s “first career” was broadcasting; she served as Operations Manager and Promotion and Marketing Manager for radio and TV stations in the Asheville, Hickory and Charlotte markets.

Lynn is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, with an AB in Journalism. She has a passion for community service, and is proud to be a founding member, volunteer and past Board member of The Catawba Lands Conservancy, The Davidson Lands Conservancy and the Catawba Valley Scottish Society.  She previously served on the North District Advisory Board for Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, and is currently Secretary of the Davidson Park and Recreation Advisory Board. Other volunteer activities have included working with domestic violence counseling, docent for Spirit Square, and education volunteer for the Humane Society of Charlotte. Lynn is a member of the Charlotte Chapter of ISES, MPI-Carolinas Chapter, and the NC Association of Festivals and Events.

Another of Lynn’s passions is dogs! She resides in Davidson with her husband, Bruce, and their pack of four—two Shetland Sheepdogs and two Australian Shepherds.  Lynn competes in the sport of agility with her dogs, and is a member of Charlotte Dog Training Club and the Greater Charlotte Sheltie Club.
