Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing
Adam Rhew is Senior Vice President of Strategy and Marketing at Charlotte Center City Partners, working to advance the organization’s mission to assure Charlotte Center City is a welcoming and equitable, economically vibrant, culturally rich, and beloved place for all.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Adam operates across the organization to ensure alignment among CCCP’s strategic priorities and objectives. He also leads CCCP’s marketing team to develop and execute the vision, strategy, and messaging for more than a dozen brands including Uptown, South End, and Charlotte SHOUT! His work has been recognized by the International Downtown Association, where he is a fellow in the Emerging Leader program.
Adam holds an MBA with distinction from Wake Forest University and an undergraduate degree in journalism and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds an executive certificate in digital marketing strategy from the Yale School of Management.
Prior to joining Center City Partners, Adam held a variety of communications and public policy roles in the private and nonprofit sectors. Through a decade in journalism, he contributed writing and reporting to outlets including CBS News, the Washington Post, and GQ.
A native Charlottean and graduate of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Adam co-chairs the CMS Community Equity Subcommittee on School Facilities. He also is a director for GenerationNation, a civic literacy nonprofit; is a graduate of the Community Building Initiative’s Leaders Under 40 program; and serves as a Cub Scout den leader.
Adam and his wife, Gillian, are the proud parents of three sons: Harrison, Miles, and Thompson.
